The CCIC held its first public briefing entitled, Climate Change Impacts on the Philippines in coordination with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the World Wide Fund Philippines (WWF-Philippines). The briefing focused on the impacts of climate change in the country specifically on health, water resources, coastal areas, agriculture and forestry. Through this event, the global issue of climate change was brought closer to home especially among the most vulnerable sectors in the Philippines.
